A close battle for 1st in the 24h of Le Mans Ferrari Challange

After a mistake in qualifying costing me the front row on the starting grid I managed to climb up two places to claim the second step of the podium after Thomas Neubauer, a driver in the 24h of Le Mans. With this result I not only beat the championship leader but also overtook him on track and along with the team, Rossocorsa we clearly showed very good progression through the season.

During the race I started from the fourth position, but all the start practices payed off and I managed to climb into 3rd position just after one corner, attacking the championship leader already in turn two. After half a lap of attacking Eliseo Donno, I forced him into a mistake costing him the second position. The safety car quickly came out on lap 3 and only ended with 1m left of the race where after a strong battle for the top step of the podium I crossed the chequered flag in the second position
